List comparison

Find intersections, unions and differences while retaining original text.

Local processing
Instructions and limits
  1. Paste or import UTF-8 lists A and B, one item per line, and choose matching rules.
  2. Choose intersection, A−B, B−A, union or symmetric difference. Check counts, source lines and frequencies, then copy or download.

Up to 1 million characters combined, 20,000 lines per side, 4 MB per file and an 8-second worker timeout. Sets output each item once; shared items retain text from A. Matching options do not rewrite output. TXT contains the complete list; CSV includes both sides’ line numbers and counts.

Use cases and example

Reconcile name, order ID or URL lists to find shared items, items present on only one side, or a deduplicated union.

Put this week’s IDs in A and last week’s in B. Use A−B for new IDs or intersection for shared ones. Optionally ignore edge spaces while retaining original text in results.

Set comparison deduplicates items and retains source text. Case and whitespace options affect matching. Use text diff for line edits or table comparison for keyed spreadsheet records.
