Multi-rule text and table replacement
Apply ordered replacements, regex rules or masking to text and table columns, with change previews and saved rules.
Instructions and limits
- Paste text or import CSV, TSV or XLSX. Check encoding and headings; select named columns for table processing.
- Add ordered literal, regex or masking rules. Inspect per-step changes and download TXT, CSV or XLSX. Save rules for reuse.
Up to 12 rules; text input 500,000 characters and output 1 million. Tables: 20,000 records, 200 columns and 200,000 cells. Regex runs in a stoppable Worker with a 5-second timeout and no truncated output. Headers stay unchanged. Presets save rules and column names, not input text. Masks apply only to the selected scope; they do not automatically discover all private information.
Use cases and example
Reuse saved replacements and masking rules for weekly order exports, contact lists and logs.
Keep the first 3 and last 4 characters in the phone column, mask the middle, then replace pending with To process in the status column. Inspect changes and export XLSX.
Each rule can target specific columns without altering headings. Missing fields block execution. Masking rules do not automatically identify all sensitive content.
